RJ Snyder is happy to be representing Dapper Cadence as one of it’s founding members. His musical talents include playing the clarinet, sousaphone and enough piano to learn his part in a song.
Vocally, RJ has been involved in church, stage productions, as well as performing with the Toledo Symphony (U.S.A.), the Windsor Symphony (Canada) and a tour with the All-Ohio State Youth Choir.
Music has always been an important and aspect of his life. In fact, he met his husband at a choir rehearsal when living in Toledo, Ohio. A rehearsal that definitely changed the projection of his life!
After 24 years of bliss, four children and four countries later both Richard and RJ are still happy and singing together.

Richard Brooks is a true West Country lad, from Cornwall. From an early age he was involved in church and school musical activities (at an even more prestigious school in Taunton, Somerset), going on to study Welsh and Irish at Prifysgol Aberystwyth. He is proud to be able say that this came to fruition when he coached a local male voice choir on their Welsh language performance of Myfanwy. His parents can finally be proud!
After University he moved to the Great White North (Canada not Scotland). When work and raising four kids allowed he continued singing in churches and with Sing Out Toledo (an LGBTQ+ choir in Ohio, USA). It was here that he met a stunning gymnast and Tenor that is now his husband and fellow founding member of Dapper Cadence.
The next move took him to Germany, luckily in time to be able to add a German passport to his collection so that retirement in Spain was not derailed by Brexit.
Since late 2022 he has lived on the Costa Blanca, and after early retirement has been able to refocus on music, now singing with six different local choirs each week.
